Self Defence and mental strength (equalling successful living) are undoubtedly important attributes in today's society. Also: It is a medically proven fact that EVEN a low amount of physical exercise will improve your quality of life, making your body healthier. Combine an enjoyable work-out and meeting a "friendly crowd" with disciplined Self Defence and you gain more than just a mere health programme.

As there are no "full contact" punches or kicks in our classes - since we have a "safe sparring" policy - our art is suitable and available for all levels and all ages. No matter if you are a beginner or advanced martial artist - our classes will teach you how to be safe in an ever increasing crime-ridden world. Children learn Anti-Bullying tactics and improve in positive character development. Adults and children alike will benefit from traditions, teaching mental attributes such as showing respect to each other, loyalty, courtesy and self-discipline which are all part of the class as well. Even in your first lesson you will learn blocking and other techniques, which will help you if you confront danger in a real-life-situation.

None of our techniques use the "hyper-extension" or "lock-out" movements as in some of the traditional martial arts styles; these traditional movements are too rigid, lack agility and are therefore not effective enough on the street where it counts. Also, these movements (as used in certain other martial arts associations) often cause swelling, inflammation and other chronic illnesses to the joints. "CHI" is a Chinese word ( and “ Gi” Korean) and is translated as “ Flowing Energy” . Feel this positive energy in our classes where children learn through the power of discipline to better succeed in school and Adults to combat their everyday stress issues. Releasing stressful energy and soaking up positive energy in our schools will start making you feel more confident and add positivity to your life. This confidence is enhanced as you are in the knowledge that you are learning the most complete martial arts system that is currently available. How can we say that? Other martial arts styles ignore certain self-defence moves JUST because it is not a part of their system. In our art we use EVERYTHING that is useful as long as the movement is bio-mechanically fluid (true to the concept of “Chi” - flowing Energy) and correct , as well as being effective for self defence purposes.

Although certain Korean words are used in our system, there is always an English equivalent and you will never have to learn another language to succeed in our art.

We have practitioners (some of them high ranks) from other styles such as Tae Kwon Do, Choi Kwang Do, Judo, Kickboxing, Jiu-Jitsu and several Karate styles. They all found CHI COMBAT SYSTEM © a "breath of fresh air" as our outlook is somewhat more POSITIVE setting us apart from some of the negative attitudes that preside with some martial arts practitioners.
